12.9.11 San Jose Dia DOS.

I can only blame myself for going on this trip to San Jose. I just thought it would be different. I was WRONG again. Woke up in the morning, realized last night that I would NOT be able to do the things I wanted to do in the city and had to do what ever my driver told me I was doing. The only cool thing I could think of doing was to go to the butterfly garden. I knew it would be cool and that way I could have some ALONE time with nature. Of course we got lost on the way there, surprise! When we did finally arrive it was not what I had expected at all. I expected something more "North American" but after I was alone it turned out to be a wonderful experience! It was so little, I was the only one there and I loved it.
I also want to remind you that these are ButterFLIES. They fly around and are never still. A photographers worst nightmare. I did catch a few sitting, so that was great!
Caligo eurolochius

The little red frogs that were there... So cute!

I hope this isn't the best picture I get of this! My favorite butterfly ever.

HARMONY

And here it comes. I was still annoyed with the world, not getting any good pictures of the butterflies and I was packing up my stuff getting ready to go, I decided to take one more walk around the garden. Thank goodness I did. It was there, the PHOTO I have always wanted. The most beautiful butterfly in the world was sitting there, wings spread, and full of beauty. I couldn't get my camera ready fast enough. I got it, I got more. Then I grabbed my photo, got one on that. Back to the camera, got some more of the best PHOTO ever!!!
This will be the MONEY SHOT forever! It made all the bad things that have happened in the last 2 days go away. It was PERFECTION. Thank you!

Had to get every angle, just so I knew it was real!
And then it flew away. After it let me do my thing. It was AWESOME!

He's totally looking at me!

Parides Iphidamas
These were some other ones that I wanted pictures of all day. Never really got a good one though!

Spent 2 hours of my day there. The lady at the beginning said it would only take 20 minutes. Im glad I stayed longer than that!
Did you know the average life of a butterfly is 21 days and they start picking out a mate before they turn into butterflies!
I convinced the person we are not staying another night because I wanted to go home to my LITTLE beach town. I was sick of traffic, noise and talking.

Sunset leaving San Jose.

I will MAYBE, and I say MAYBE go back to San Jose. It will be on way different circumstances though. 2 days down the drain. Thank you butterflies for making it a little better!!!

And to make matters worse my camera died while at the butterfly garden. I knew I packed my camera charger, but it was no where to be found. I then thought it was at my house. Got home and it wasn't there. I cleaned and cleaned, still nothing. I woke up at 3 am in a panic thinking I would go home because I didn't have a way to charge my camera and my camera is my life! (A little Dramatic)  Tune in tomorrow to see what happens... Novela de Spicy!
