Adventure Land in Costa Rica...

Carrie and I decided that we would not rent a car to do the things we wanted to do. First off they wanted $95 a day for one and second, neither one of us wanted to drive. There are plenty of 'tour' places around town, so we started looking... This one caught our eye! A driver will pick you up at 7am and you will be back around 6pm. A fun filled day of Zip-Lining, Water Sliding, Horse Back Riding, Soaking in a Mud Bath and then finally soaking in the Hot Springs. Lunch is also included. The price was right so we decided to do it...

Now here comes the scary part of the whole tour... I wasn't to keen on riding the horse, but my only other option was to ride a tractor for 30 minutes alone to get to the hot springs... I had to BUCK up and get on the horse!

Carrie and her horse Kona!

This is my horse Daisy... Her head at least, from my saddle.

The view while riding horses

Yep, it really happened... I rode this horse.

We made it to the end... Daisy knew I was scared, she liked to bump into the other horses and just go off the trail whenever she wanted... As it was a great time, I don't think I will be doing that anytime soon, if ever.

Daisy was a good girl...

You can barely see it, but its a Sloth

The Hot Springs!

What a beautiful day...

We are heading to more zip lines later this week... It should be a blast!!!
Until next time... xoxo

Monkeying around

Today we decided to get out of Coco and walk to the next town over. It looks like a short distance on the map, but I guess looks can be deceiving... We asked around town if it was walkable, everyone said to take a cab, we laughed in their faces. We walked... I guess in Costa Rica Kilometers are really long MILES. 3 Kilometers took us 1 hour to walk. The road was scary and it was about 84 degrees out, should have listened to everyone. We finally made it to the beach and layed around for hours! It is supposed to be the snorkeling beach around, so we brought the gear. Never thought we would see MONKEYS though!!! 11 total and it was so awesome! Sitting in a lawn chair next to the ocean, reading and watching monkeys... I live a pretty sweet life.

They just chill like this

Looking at me like I'm a fool!

Mama and Baby... She got mad at him because he was sucking on her boob too hard!!!

The day ended up being wonderful. I am a little red and scraped up from the rocks! We ate the best meal yet at the Father Rooster... Yum. And we decided to spend the $6 and take a taxi home.
Until next time...
