1.7.11 Walking in the Snow

Every Saturday closest to the full moon the golf course in town has a Full Moon Snowshoe/Ski hike around the course. Since we (Taylor, Carrie and I) are all motivated to get in better shape now, we decided it would be a fun thing to do.
We knew that there was not going to be enough snow to use the snow shoes or skis so we decided to just go in our boots and snow pants. Except today it FINALLY started snowing. The drive there was very horrible and it was very hard to see while we were walking around. The course was lit by tiki torches, but a lot of them went out because of the snow. So as we were walking we had NO idea where we were going. All of a sudden Taylor falls down, then Carrie goes right in after him. We all started laughing and realized that they had fallen in a sand trap. I went around it, thinking I wasn't going to fall, and then of course I went down! ha.
The rest of the walk was nice and we found our way. We made it to the bon fire, where they had hot cocoa and schnapps waiting! That was nice and we got warmed up a little!

Here we are at the end of the walk! With Kona too!

Yes, it was a little snowy!

What a nice little snowy walk with the roommates!

1.6.12 Big Announcement!!!

Today is the day that my life will change FOREVER
Today is 4 months until I am 30. Today is the day that I tell the world my biggest goal for my 30th year of living. Today is the day that I have been scared to face for over 2 months.
This is it, NO TURNING BACK.

Today, I signed up to race in my FIRST Triathlon. I don't know who I think I am, or what I am doing, but all I know is that I am serious and I will do this.
The race is called Tri for the Cure and it is August 5, 2012 in Denver.
The race is for Breast Cancer, which is dear to my heart as both of my Grandmothers have had Breast Cancer and SURVIVED. All the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and I will start fundraising to give to the foundation, as soon as they send me the details. All of your support means the world to me, I will need it. I am scared, but I am determined.

The race consists of:
750 m (1/2 mile) swim
18.3 K (11.4 mile) bike ride
5 K (3.1 mile) run

I have 8 months to train for this race and I will be prepared.
My great friend Holly Fraccaro, who is a sponsored Triathlete will also be doing the race with me. We talk every day on the phone and she gives me great support and training techniques. My other friend Kristyna Nedele will also be racing and she is here in Winter Park to kick my ass! I am so excited to have some of my great friends with me, it means a lot that they are willing to do this. Thanks friends.

Again I will need a lot of support during the next 8 months of my life. Its going to be very hard. I will have to stop being the FUN Sarah a lot of you have known to LOVE. I know that its going to be a great thing, a hard, but great thing. Laugh if you want (as some as you already have) but when August 5 comes around, I will be the only one laughing!

Here is the website for the race.

Check it out. Help me in anyway possible.

This is my bike. She needs a name. We will become best friends. She needs a really GREAT name if thats the case.

Wish me luck. Thanks. Lets do this. 217 more days.

1.5.12 - Garbage Pail Kids

I'm still a little sick, but today I actually am feeling pretty good. My sister and I took her dog for a walk and that was nice. Got some Rocky Mountain fresh air! I also made some goodies with the Kitchen Aid, I have missed that item.
I didn't take any photos today, but here are some sweet garbage pail kids!

Big HUGE announcement tomorrow! Wait for it. Its a goodie.

 Goodnight moon.

1.4.11 Sunsets = Happiness.

Still very sick. I think that its getting better, but I still don't like it. I whine a lot and I don't even want to be around myself. There was an amazing sunset tonight that I saw from my house! Not the best pics, but still sweet!

I hope I am better tomorrow. I hate being sick.

1.3.12 Sunrises are amazing

I woke up early this morning because I needed to sneeze about 100 times in a row. After sneezing I saw a refection of orange in one of my framed photos. I looked outside and there was an amazing sunrise! I love where I live. Sometimes I think I should just tell people I live in a Post card!

Im glad I got out of bed and grabbed my camera and ran outside when it was 2 degrees. These pictures are great!!!

Happy Birthday to my cousin Emily! Hope your day was wonderful. Love you much.

1.2.11 SICK

After 3 nights of Ween, standing in line forever and not getting enough sleep, I am OFFICIALLY SICK. I never get sick, but it has happened. I am sick. I can't talk and my nose is running like crazy. Not fun. I am being a total bum and I didn't take any photos today. Sorry.
Heres one of my favorite photos of myself..

And I ask myself daily why I don't have a boyfriend... Well look at this picture and that might be a clue. Gonna get better. Get well soon Daisy.

1.1.12 Happy New Beginnings

Happy 2012. The year that I turn 30. The year that I will become better at life. The year that I will actually accomplish my goals. The year that I will never forget.
The year of NEW BEGINNINGS...

Here is my Christmas present to myself. Find out on January 6 why I bought this sweet item.

Happy New Year. 2012, will you really be the end?

12.31.11 - New Years Rocking Eve, with Ween

The day has finally arrived. Its New Years Eve, The Ween show I have been waiting for! I finally did not have to go alone as Taylor was going with me! Yay, I actually have a Ween fan back with me. Its crazy how much everyone says they love Ween still, but are not willing to do anything for Ween. Lame. So Taylor and I got to The Fillmore around 3:30. Of course we were the first people in line. YAY! The energy was great this day. Everyone was so happy that it was the New Year and Ween was gonna rock the house.
My sickness got a little worse, but I kept myself hydrated and even drank a little bottle of Champagne. Waiting in line is cold and long... But at least its always a good outcome!

Here he is... He HAS to know me by now!

I LOVE THIS PHOTO!

Very close up!

Mad skills!

And Gener gets up on a stool...

The balloons that fell from the sky at Midnight!

Happy 2012! AWESOME.

I love when they play together like this. I feel like this is what they did when they were 14 just starting out.

They left for their little break and then they came back on to have an awesome Encore!

They finished the show with The Blarney Stone. One of my favorite songs, because Deaner sings it. And he always has a great time doing it! The video I got of it is amazing and didn't take any real photos.

I did take this photo while I was still videoing because I knew something great was going to happen! Wait for it...

And here it is... He KNOWS ME. Deaner saw me videoing the whole time and I thought that I was still focused on him with the video camera, but wasn't, and he WAVED and stuck his tongue out at me. I only got this one photo, but I did get to see it with my own eyes. HE KNOWS ME.
Deaner, my favorite rocker, the hottest man on the planet, the one who's on the list. Well, he knows me! YES! I wish I could say I got it on video, but I didn't. Sad. Taylor saw it too, so its not a lie! Thanks DEANER!

This is WEEN. My favorite band.

Thank you for an amazing show. You guys have out done yourselves again. I LOVE YOU.

Here I am waiting to get the set list! My spot on the railing!

And guess what... I got it!

Thank you Ween. Until our paths cross again. You guys have rocked my world.
