Cancer SUCKS...

So far this year I have lost 2 of the most important men in my life to cancer. My grandpa died July 13 from a long battle with Kidney Cancer and then February 24 (yesterday) my ex-boyfriend died of a short battle with Melanoma Skin Cancer. Words can't describe what a shitty disease this is. My heart and soul are broken because these men were taken from my life.

Donald Waldron...

This is my grandpa and me on my 27th Birthday... Bingo at the Creek!

Grandpa and me at my college graduation... What a happy time that was in my life!

A family photo on my 28th birthday...
I will cherish this man and our memories for my lifetime. Thank you for being strong with your words but kind with your heart. I love you Don Waldron...

Steven Schott...

This picture is priceless, the man hated to smile and I finally got a little smirk from him...

Every Tuesday of Winter 2010 Steve and I would drive down to the city and have Sushi... What great memories of the car ride, the city and him.

Our last picture together... April 2010

My favorite picture of Steven...
This man was amazing. One of the smartest and greatest men I know. He taught me a lot in the time we spent together. He loved me and hurt me at the same time... I will never forget what we had, it was pretty special. He had me at HI.
I love you Steven Schott... I am glad I was your Bitchy Sack of Crazy!!!

I am living the best I can right now. I know that I will probably lose more people to Cancer than I ever want to. CANCER SUCKS... Death is a fact of life. The worst fact, but a fact. These men knew I loved them with all that I had and in the end thats what matters the most.

Rest in Paradise...
Donald J. Waldron
Steven A. Schott.

I will love you always and forever. Thank you for being part of my life.

Zip-Lining Champion of the World...

Wow, it has been a SUPER long time since I have blogged... Oops living the dream has gotten to me! I promise in the next few days you will have more blogs of my Costa Rican adventures!

So my sister has left now, but before she left we went to Monteverde... Since we went Zip-Lining at Rincon, we thought that we were pros, HA. Nothing compares to Zip-Lining in Monteverde. I experienced it once and never want to experience it again. I have never been scared of heights before this day. Imagine flying over the Jungle about 400 ft up on a cable and going about 25MPH... You will be afraid of heights too.

The day started off horrible. I drank a few too many gin and soda's the night before and then had to be on a bus with 18 other OLD people talking about NOTHING. It was awful. Carrie and I were the hit of the day. Everyone thought I was just car sick! At least the tour guide liked us! The first stop was a little breakfast place with birds in the back yard...

The parrots... There were about 10 of them!

Toucan Sam! He was so pretty

Beautiful Birds

We finally got to Monteverde... The whole trip took about 3.5 hours and the last hour was one of the WORST hours of my life... The road SUCKS. I do not recommend it to anyone with a slight hangover! And the OLD people would not stop talking. Luckily Carrie had her iPod and she was nice and shared her head phones with me.
All dressed ready to go Zip-Lining!

Carrie is ready too!

Some sweet tree!

Ferns. Harmony.

About to be scared for the rest of our lives... We did not know what we were getting ourselves into

Carrie coming in!

Me coming in!

I don't know if you can see, but this was a little high up and far.

This was the longest line... 1 kilometer. You start at the top of the mountain and go down. I COULD NOT go alone. I WOULD NOT look down. I was SCARED out of my mind.

Carrie and her guide coming in on the longest line.

After Zip-Lining we had a wonderful lunch. I actually ate and started to feel better. Next on the tour was the Humming Bird Garden. It was amazing. 12 different kinds of Humming Birds. Couldn't get all of them, cuz they just wont stay still!!!

Next on the tour were the hanging bridges... Kinda scary, but not as scary as hanging from a cable! Beautiful.

Me on one of the bridges. Only time I have worn pants and a long sleeve since I have been here!
View from the bridges.

The jungle

View again...

Every where in the world I will find Mushrooms... For you BAG

Beautiful Butterfly in the forbidden Butterfly Garden...

Carrie and I at the end of the day...

I promise I will write more soon. Lots of exciting adventures! You can check out all the photos from the Monteverde trip and other adventures at my online photo album website at www.picasaweb.google.com/smwdaisy
Until next time... xoxo.
